MICHAEL MUZZEY
Mr. Muzzey is County Treasurer and is running for re-election

Mr. Muzzey has served Belknap County as treasurer since 2006, appointed after the previous treasurer retired. He subsequently was elected and continued while working full time for Bank of New Hampshire. He retired in 2014 from Bank of New Hampshire after 40 years as Vice President and Chief Information Officer.
NHPR’s candidate database shows Muzzey has only been challenged once, in 2010, and won with 65% of the vote.
The role of treasurer is part-time, working with the county’s finance director and professional staff in oversight of county accounts, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, cash management and finance planning.
