Mrs. Bean is a Republican candidate running for State Representative. She is the widow of former State Representative Harry Bean, who passed away earlier this year.
NEUTRAL
Mrs. Bean has chosen not to return our questionnaire. Even if she had, we are concerned with her lack of local town board or county experience. Therefore we, at best, are neutral on her candidacy.
Mrs. Priscilla Bean, 72, lives in Gilford, and recenly lost her husband, State Representative Harry Bean, to cancer. She has served as an Election Inspector for several years, which we applaud. However, she has unfortunately not served on local boards that we have been able to find, and we question her preparation for working on the state level.
Mrs. Bean has chosen not to return her Citizens for Belknap questionnaire, nor has she returned Citizens Count NH questionnaire, so we don't have any indication of her positions. She has written few letters to the editor in the Laconia Daily Sun, but recently did a candidacy announcement letter which included this:
“As a moderate Republican, I value limited government, responsible spending, strong local communities, and protecting the freedoms that make the Granite State such a wonderful place to call home. “
