Maureen "Mo" Baxley is candidate for County Register of Deeds.   Ms. Baxley is a former  New Hampshire state representative, a coordinator for Granite State Independent Living, which provides care for disabled adults, and the former executive director of New Hampshire Freedom to Marry.

The elected position of Register of Deeds is a full time professional job and is compensated as an employee of the county.   The department is a positive revenue stream for the county.

Ms. Baxley is a highly competent organizer and manager, and a reasonable and a responsible candidate.  However, it's our understanding that historically, registrars typically work in the Register of Deeds office prior for running for the seat.  Ms. Baxley has not.

Ms. Baxley is reasonable and responsible, and highly qualified in other areas, but lacks enough qualifications and experience for this position.  As such, we are taking a Neutral position on her candidacy.
