We are disappointed that Ms. Ingala has chosen not to submit her 2026 Questionnaire, following the orders of the Belknap County Republican Committee leadership.  As of this time, we cannot recommend her any higher than ⚠️Caution / No Information.

Ms. Ingala moved to Gilford from Bristol, Connecticut in 2024.  She retired from the CT State Police after a 20-year career, serving from 1992 - 2012.   Here's an article (possible paywall) on Ms. Ingala from the Hartford Courant.

She has a limited footprint in District 6 Gilmanton/Gilford/Laconia Ward 2. Since arriving in Gilford, she has served on no town boards or local groups that we've determined.   We don't believe she's held or run for office previously.  She has written only her letter of introduction in the paper.

On her website, she cites her commitment to public service, community security, and 2nd Amendment rights as a primary reason for running:

"For me, security is not just about policy, it’s personal. With my 20 years in Law Enforcement,  a son serving in the Army and a daughter joining the Coast Guard, I will always stand with our law enforcement and military, support all first responders, and fight to keep New Hampshire the safe state we are proud to call home. I will also defend our 2nd Amendment rights."

She also notes that wasteful spending and  property taxes must be kept in check, parental rights, among other other traditional conservative values.   We would have liked to knows more about her positions on important county issues, but has so far followed her party leadership in boycotting our questionnaire.  She has responded to the Citizens Count survey, and we found her opposition to funding the NH Office of the Child Advocate troubling.  Our Delegation cut funding to CASA, the Court Appointed Special Advocate agency, earlier this year, further erosion of child protection here in Belknap County and the state.

Despite her previous experience as a police officer, her short tenure in NH, her lack of engagement in Gilford community, and her unwillingness to share her positions with Belknap County voters via our questionnaire limits her recommendation to ⚠️Caution / No Information.
