Ms. Wood is running for one of four seats representing Belknap NH House District 6, encompassing Gilford, Gilmanton and Laconia Ward 2. She did provide a statement rather than a questionnaire (below), and did attend the District 6 Candidate Forum. She did not answer questions in her Citizens Count survey.
A native of New York state, she graduated from Buffalo State University in 2006 with fine arts degree. She moved with her fiance to Penacook for his job, then later to Gilford, according to her Laconia Daily Sun profile.
She been a member of the Gunstock Area Commission for over 4 years, having experienced the libertarian takeover of Gunstock first hand. In 2022, she took a courageous stand for the county and its economy by backing the Gunstock Resort's management and more reasonable actions by the GAC.

Her campaign website puts fiscal responsibility of government high on her issues list. She states:
"I will oppose any legislation that attempts to implement these job-killing taxes that would make New Hampshire just another high-tax New England state. As your representative, I'll work to find alternative revenue solutions that don't burden hardworking families already struggling with rising property taxes and the cost of living."
In her LDS profile, she spoke of the lack of affordable housing, and how she supported loosening of regulations around Accessory Dwelling Units, and giving property owners more say. She also noted that inflation and mortgage rates played a factor in affordable homes. During the District 6 candidate forum, Ms. Wood expressed that it might not be possible for more workforce housing near the lake, because of the desirability of the area. More development might also strain the existing water and sewer infrastructure. In her LDS profile she added that more development could also affect roads, runoff, and erosion, and impact the existing residents.

Ms. Wood's positions are generally solid conservative positions, but in her state and county issues. She has learned first-hand of the damage which can be done by actors who want to "burn it all down" an has shown the backbone to stand up to bullies. Citizens for Belknap sees Ms. Wood as a reasonable and responsible voice for Belknap County, and we recommend her.

Thank you for your efforts to include all of the candidates despite the circumstances. I sent you this in messenger just moments ago after much consideration of what it seems are your organization's concerns about our leadership.
This is a video recorded nearly four years ago to the day that the Citizens for Belknap surveys were originally due.
Today was the first day that I chose to watch this video from start to finish and my heart was racing the entire time. When I think about those moments and every agonizing non-operational day that went by at Gunstock, I am reminded of my unshakable commitment to doing my best for Belknap county. Just 23 days later, my two healthy sons were born (by the grace of God). Now five years later, I can still count the number of Gunstock Area Commission meetings that I've missed on one hand.
My record of attendance will not embarrass Belknap county.
I will NEVER support leasing or selling our county assets.
You have seen first hand as many residents have, that I abhor poorly organized and executed meetings.
"Hell will freeze over" before I would deny the public an opportunity to be heard.
I've lived here in Belknap county for 15 years. My husband and I bought our starter home on Ridgewood Avenue in Gilford and worked hard to make it a charming part of our tight knit neighborhood. From the schools to the community church, the mountain, area youth programs and so much more, we've embraced this community. I love it here and I'm committed to the area.
I agree that we need principled, reasonable and responsible representation. My primary interest is to maintain and protect the qualities that make Belknap a gem for families, businesses and visitors. That is why I'm running.
I humbly ask for your endorsement and a recommendation for State Representative from the Citizens for Belknap.
